I haven't ever fried a Turkey and would love to try it someday but I'm going to tell you my favorite way to cook a Turkey so far. When finished, this was the juicies bird... literally squirted juice out when I cut into it.
It looked something like this when done:
Yes that's bacon!!
So first you mix a stick of butter with some sage and then you rub/stuff it between the skin and the turkey. It's pretty gross but you do need to use your hand to detach the skin from the meat to do this. Then you cut up some apples and onions and stuff those into the cavities, neck area included. This will keep the Turkey nice and juicy. Lay bacon across the turkey as much or as little as you like. Mix 1/2 cup real maple syrup with a cup of water and use this to baste the turkey. Bake it until the red dot pops out! I like to turn it up high and give it a nice browning then turn it down and baste it every 30 minutes. It's sooooo juicy and delish and there's bacon to boot!!!
Now for the tunes...
One of my favorite bands is Awolnation and I guess if I have to pick one song this would be it:
